Stable meadows are natural and rich in dozens of different grasses, as many as a hundred in the high mountains. Stable meadows need human labor to be tended, mowed or grazed. Their best janitors are animals and livestock (and others) such as cattle, sheep, goats, and insects (bees, butterflies, wasps, ladybugs...)
