Transhumance and Bike Tour in Gran Sasso landscape - is the highest mountain massif in the Apennines and peninsular Italy, located entirely in Abruzzo.
The tour lasts between 3 and 4 hours, over 55 km to be done by electric bike. It starts in the morning from Santo Stefano di Sessanio to Montecristo on the ancient transhumance route. Mixed route of cart track and asphalt totally immersed in nature. Once you have your tickets, e-bike in hand, you will take the Gran Sasso d'Italia cable car up to Campo Imperatore, 2100 meters above sea level where you can admire the fantastic mountain panorama. From there, downhill on the well-known “little Tibet of Abruzzo.”
